The ones that come up most about this range

Are beef treats good for dogs?

Single-ingredient, air-dried beef is high in protein, and 9 of the 10 beef chews in our range are under 14% fat. The richer one is the Beef Trachea at 17.9%. Beef is a common protein, so if your dog reacts to it, have a look at our hypoallergenic range instead.

What are the best beef dog treats?

It depends on the job. For a long chew, the Jumbo Paddywack or Beef Pizzle. For training, a Beef Tripe Stick snapped into pieces, or Biltong torn into strips. For stuffing, the Beef Trachea or Calf Hoof.

Which beef treat is the leanest?

The Bladder Twist at 3% fat, closely followed by the Beef Pizzle at 3.2%.

Are bully sticks and pizzles the same thing?

Yes. Bully stick is the more common name in the shops and pizzle is what the trade calls it. Both mean a single-ingredient, air-dried beef chew.

Is paddywack rawhide?

No. Paddywack is the ligament from a cow's neck, simply air-dried. Rawhide is a by-product of the leather trade.

Are beef treats suitable for puppies?

Every beef chew on this page is suitable for puppies from 12 weeks, with supervision.

Why does tripe smell so strong?

It is green tripe, and dogs think the smell is the best bit. Keep the bag sealed and the smell stays put. For a beef chew with barely any smell, try the Jumbo Paddywack.
