Wag & Whistle: Subscription Cancellation Policy

Last updated: 1 September 2026

This covers our Join the Pack treat subscription: how billing works, and how to skip, pause or cancel.

The short version: no minimum term, no cancellation fee, and you can stop at any time. We'd rather you stayed because you want to, not because it's awkward to leave.

How a subscription works

When you join, you choose a box size and how often you'd like it. We then send a box of natural treats, chosen by us around your dog, on that schedule.

Contents vary from month to month (that's rather the point). We can't guarantee any particular treat appears in any particular box, though we'll always work around anything you've told us your dog can't have.

Billing

Payment is taken automatically on your renewal date, using the payment method saved to your account, until you cancel.

Your first payment is taken when you subscribe. After that, you're billed on the same cycle you chose.

Delivery is free on every subscription box, whatever the value.

You can see your next billing date, your plan, and your full history at any time in your account.

Skipping a delivery

Going away, or still working through last month's box? Skip it.

Skip from your account, or email us. Do it at least 48 hours before your renewal date so we can stop the payment in time. Skipping doesn't cancel anything. Your subscription simply picks up next cycle.

Pausing

If you'd like a longer break, email us and we'll pause you for as long as you need. Everything stays set up, ready for when you come back.

Cancelling

Cancel any time from your account, or by emailing hello@wagandwhistle.co.uk.

  • There's no fee and no notice period.
  • Cancel at least 48 hours before your renewal date to avoid the next payment being taken.
  • Cancelling stops future boxes. It doesn't automatically refund a box already paid for and dispatched, but our Returns & Refunds Policy still applies to it, exactly as it would to any order.
  • If you cancel after payment but before we've dispatched, we'll refund that payment in full.

We won't ask you to phone anyone, sit through an offer, or explain yourself. One click, or one email.

Your legal right to cancel

Separately from the above, UK consumers have a statutory right to cancel a distance contract within 14 days of receiving the first delivery, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

That right sits alongside everything on this page and isn't reduced by it. See our Returns & Refunds Policy for how it works with food products.

Price changes

If we change subscription pricing, we'll email you before it takes effect, in good time to cancel or change your plan if you'd rather not continue.

We'll never quietly increase what you pay.

Changing your plan

Box size, frequency, delivery address and payment method can all be changed from your account, or by emailing us. Changes apply from your next billing date.

If a payment fails

If we can't take payment, we'll try twice more, two days apart, and email you each time. Usually it's just an expired card. Update your details in your account and we'll pick straight back up.

If all attempts fail, we skip that box and let you know. Your subscription stays active and carries on as normal at your next billing date, so there's nothing to set up again. You're never charged later for a box that was skipped.

If we're short of stock

Occasionally we may not have enough of something to make up a box. If that happens we'll skip that delivery rather than send you something you didn't choose, and email you to explain. You won't be charged for it, and your subscription continues as normal.
