Questions we get asked

The ones that come up most about this range

What treats can a young puppy have?

Soft, single-protein treats in tiny pieces. The pâtés and soft sticks here are the gentlest place to start.

How many treats can a puppy have a day?

Keep treats to about a tenth of what they eat in a day. Our dog treat calculator has puppy settings to work it out for you.

Which are best for puppy training?

A pure meat stick broken into tiny pieces, or the training treats. Small, soft and quick to eat, so they keep the lesson moving.

What if a new treat upsets their tummy?

Stop, let things settle, then bring treats back one at a time. Sticking to one protein makes it easy to see which one caused it. If it carries on, check in with your vet.

When can my puppy move on to proper chews?

As their adult teeth start coming through, from around 12 weeks, softer chews are a good next step. Our Puppies 12 Weeks+ range is the place to look.
