Hi, we're Jess and Sam. What started as a way to look after our own dog has grown into a small family business we're really proud of.
Our Story
Wag & Whistle didn't start as a business plan. It started with Rory.
When Rory was a puppy, we quickly realised he couldn't tolerate a lot of the treats on the shelf. Sensitive stomach, skin flare-ups, the works. We spent months trying different brands, reading ingredient lists, and generally becoming far more expert in dog food additives than we ever expected to be. If you're at that stage yourself, our puppy range is split by age so you can see what actually suits a very young pup.
In the end, we started sourcing his treats ourselves, simple, natural, single-ingredient options with nothing hidden and nothing artificial. His symptoms settled, he was a much happier dog, and we realised we weren't the only owners dealing with this. If that sounds like your dog, our hypoallergenic range is where we'd start.
That's really where Wag & Whistle came from. We're a small, family-run business based in Alfreton, Derbyshire, and everything we offer still follows the same rule we started with for Rory: real ingredients, sourced from trusted UK and EU suppliers, nothing artificial, and nothing we wouldn't be happy to see in our own dog's bowl.

You'll find us at markets and shows across Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and beyond most weekends, with two stalls running. Bring the dog and let them choose for themselves. Most of them know exactly what they want.
