Every stall has that one treat that sells out first, and ours has a tail. Our Jumbo Beef Tail is 100% beef, air-dried and nothing else, and big enough that even a serious chewer has to put the hours in.

Key features

  • Around 56g a tail. As a natural product, sizes vary.
  • One ingredient. Beef tail, air-dried. No additives, no preservatives, and not rawhide.
  • Lean. 8.3% fat and 69.3% protein, which puts it in our low fat range.
  • A proper crunch. The cartilage and bone give it a gnawable texture dogs love to work at.
  • Naturally nutritious. A natural source of collagen, calcium and phosphorus.
  • Built to last. Dense and jumbo sized, so it keeps them busy for a good while.

Worth knowing

Air-dried bone does not splinter like cooked bone, so this is a great fit for a steady gnawer. If yours is more of a big cruncher, the Jumbo Paddywack or Buffalo Wrap are softer options.

Suitable from 12 weeks, whatever the size of your dog, with supervision.

Please supervise your dog while they enjoy this treat, and make sure fresh water is always available. As a natural product, sizes may vary slightly.

Questions We Get Asked +

Is it rawhide?

No. Rawhide is a by-product of the leather trade. This is simply a beef tail, air-dried, with nothing added.

Is there bone in it?

Yes, and that is the point of it. A beef tail is cartilage and bone together, air-dried. Drying is what matters here: dried bone does not splinter the way cooked bone does. Never give a dog a cooked bone from your own kitchen.

Is it safe?

For most dogs, with sensible supervision. Watch the first one to see how yours gets on, and take it away once it is worn down small enough to swallow. If your dog is more of a big cruncher than a steady gnawer, a Jumbo Paddywack is a softer option.

What is in it for them?

69.3% protein and 8.3% fat, plus a natural source of collagen, glucosamine, chondroitin, calcium and phosphorus. The crunchy cartilage gives teeth a good workout too.

How long does it last?

A good while. The jumbo size is dense enough that even a determined chewer has to work at it, which is why it is one of our best sellers.

What age can a dog start?

From 12 weeks, whatever the size of your dog. A beef tail is air-dried rather than cooked, so the bone in it gnaws down rather than splintering, and a jumbo one is far too big to be a swallowing risk for a small puppy. Sit with them for the first one and take it away once it wears down small.

Feeding Instructions +
Give under supervision and always with fresh water nearby. Take the chew away once it has been worn down small enough to swallow, and let your dog rest between sessions rather than leaving it down all day. As a natural product, size, shape and colour vary from one to the next.
