Think of it as the braid's slimmer sibling. Our Buffalo Collagen Straw is 100% buffalo collagen, rolled into a 30cm straw and air-dried, and it is a great way to find out whether your dog is a collagen fan.

Why a straw rather than a braid?

Because it is hollow. Spoon our turkey or duck pate down the middle, freeze it for a few hours, and you turn a good chew into a proper enrichment toy that lasts far longer. The braided version is denser but you cannot stuff it.

What is it made of?

Buffalo collagen, air-dried, and nothing else. Collagen is the connective tissue layer under the skin, so it is a single ingredient with no additives, grain or gluten.

Is it a good rawhide alternative?

It is the one we point people at. Similar chewing experience, but it digests properly rather than swelling in the stomach the way rawhide does, and there are no chemicals involved in making it.

How long does it last?

A decent session rather than an evening, and considerably longer once stuffed and frozen. Take it away when it wears down small enough to swallow.

Suitable for puppies?

From 12 weeks with supervision, though at 30cm it is a lot of chew for a small pup. Break it down or start with something shorter.
