Turkey feet or chicken feet?

Turkey feet are noticeably bigger, so they last longer and suit a medium or large dog better. Chicken feet are the right size for smaller dogs and puppies. Same benefits, different scale.

Is the bone safe?

These are air-dried, not cooked, and that is the distinction that matters. Cooking makes bone brittle and prone to splintering. Air-drying does not. Turkey feet are mostly skin, cartilage and small soft bones. Supervise as you would with any chew.

What about the toenails?

They are keratin, the same stuff as fingernails, and dogs crunch through them happily. Snip them off first if you would rather.

Are they good for joints?

Feet are one of the richest natural sources of glucosamine, chondroitin and collagen, which is why they get suggested for older dogs. They are a good chew that happens to contain those things, rather than a supplement, so treat them as part of the diet rather than a treatment.

What age can a puppy start?

From 12 weeks, with you watching. They are soft enough not to trouble new teeth.
