Are duck feet safe for dogs?

Yes, with supervision, and the key thing is that they are air-dried rather than cooked. Cooked bone goes brittle and splinters. Air-dried bone stays soft enough to break down properly. Duck feet are mostly skin, cartilage and tiny soft bones.

Are they a lean treat?

No. At 28.3% fat they are richer than a pig's ear, which surprises people. Lovely as a regular treat for a healthy dog, but the wrong pick if yours is watching their weight or has a delicate stomach. Our low fat range is all under 10% with the figure shown on every page.

Do the toenails matter?

People always ask. They are keratin, the same as your own fingernails, and dogs crunch straight through them without noticing. If it bothers you, you can snip them off before giving one.

What are they good for?

They are one of the better natural sources of glucosamine and collagen, which is why they get recommended for joints, skin and coat, and they are 50.1% protein.

My dog reacts to chicken. Is duck alright?

Usually, yes. Chicken is one of the most common things dogs react to, and duck is a genuinely different protein rather than a variation on it. It is the swap we suggest most often.

How long do they last?

Not long. They are a crunchy snack rather than an occupier, gone in a minute or two for most dogs. If you want something that lasts, look at the long lasting range instead.
