It takes a nose to know a nose, and dogs go nuts for these. Our Puffed Pig Snouts are 100% pig snout, puffed and dried into a light, crunchy chew. You may also see them sold as pork snouts, which is the same thing.

What is a puffed pig snout?

A whole pig's snout, puffed and dried. One ingredient, nothing added, nothing coated. The puffing is what makes them different. Rather than drying into something rock hard, they come out light, airy and crunchy, with a bit of give rather than a snap.

Are they good for older dogs?

This is the main reason we stock them. As a dog ages their teeth wear down, and one by one the chews they have enjoyed all their life stop being an option. A puffed snout is soft enough for a worn-down mouth to manage, so an old dog who thought chewing was over can carry on.

How do they compare to a pig's ear?

Same animal, and closer than you might think on fat: a snout is 22.3% against 20% for an ear. The real difference is texture. A snout is light and easy on a worn or delicate mouth, an ear takes proper chewing. Pick the snout for softness, not for leanness.

How long do they last?

Not long, and we are not going to dress that up. It is a light, crunchy chew rather than a long-lasting one. If you want something to occupy a dog for an afternoon, buy a buffalo horn or a beef pizzle instead.

Do they smell?

Mildly. Less than tripe, nothing like a stuffed hoof, more than a biscuit. Nobody has ever come back and complained about it.
