Not the garden plant

Worth clearing up, because it comes up a lot. Lamb's Ear is also the name of a soft silvery plant people grow in borders. This is not that. This is an actual ear, from an actual lamb.

One ear is around 120 kcal. Treats are meant to stay under about a tenth of what a dog eats in a day, so one a day suits most dogs and a small dog is fine with half. For a bigger, longer chew in the same shape, the Hairy Cow Ear is around 100g.

Are lamb ears good for dogs?

They are 100% lamb ear and nothing else. At 75.55% protein they are the highest protein ear in our range, and at 7.8% fat they are one of the leanest. They are a treat rather than a supplement, but as treats go the numbers are unusually good.

Is this the same as the lamb's ear plant?

No. Lamb's Ear is also a soft silvery garden plant, which is why the question comes up. This is an actual ear from a lamb, air-dried, with the fur left on.

Why is the fur left on?

The fur adds natural fibre and roughage. It is also how the ear comes, so leaving it means nothing has been done to the product beyond drying it.

How many can my dog have?

How do they compare with cow ears and pigs ears?
