Furry or hairless, which should I get?

Same ear, same price, and the obvious difference is the fur. Hairless suits you if the fur puts you off, if your dog is new to natural chews, or if you would rather start gently. It is also marginally better as a straightforward dental chew, since there is nothing between the teeth and the skin.

Is one richer than the other?

Yes, and it is worth knowing. The hairless ear runs at 34.4% fat against 21.5% for the furry one, since the fur makes up part of the weight in the furry version. Both are richer than people expect, so treat them as a reward rather than a daily chew. If you need lean, our low fat range is all under 10%.

Are rabbit ears good for dogs?

Yes. Single ingredient, 48.9% protein, and rabbit is a novel protein that most dogs have never eaten. That is why it suits dogs who react to beef, chicken or pork.

How long do they last?

Minutes rather than hours, and we would rather say so. A rabbit ear is thin and light, so a large dog will make short work of one. It is a small treat rather than something to occupy an afternoon.

What age can a puppy start?

Around 12 weeks, with you watching. You will see rabbit ears sold as suitable from eight weeks, but we would give it a little longer, simply because a very young puppy is better off with something they cannot swallow in one go.
