Worth knowing

Rabbit ears are a richer treat (21.5% fat furry, 34.4% hairless), so they are best as a reward rather than every day. For a lean option, the Beef Tripe Stick is 6.9% fat.

What is the fur for?

It acts as roughage, giving the gut something to work against. It is traditionally fed as a natural wormer, but it is an addition to a healthy gut rather than a replacement for your vet's worming treatment.

Are they good for dogs with allergies?

Rabbit is a novel protein, meaning most dogs have never eaten it, so there is nothing for them to have built up a reaction to. If your dog struggles with beef, chicken or pork, this is usually where we start.

How many can my dog have?

One or two at a time, counted towards the day's food. Rabbit ears are richer than most people expect, so go steady, and keep treats under around a tenth of what your dog eats in a day.
