They look a bit odd. Your dog will not care in the slightest. Our Chicken Feet are 100% chicken, air-dried into a dense, properly crunchy chew, with nothing added and none of the puffing that makes our Puffed Chicken Feet light and airy.

Pack sizes and weights

  • Single: one foot, around 20g
  • 10 Pack: ten feet, around 200g
  • 20 Pack: twenty feet, around 400g
  • 50 Pack: fifty feet, around 1kg

Most places sell chicken feet by the bag, so you get a weight and have to guess the count. Ours are counted, with the weight listed as well, so you can compare either way.

Same foot, different process. Plain feet are simply air-dried, so they stay dense and take a bit of work. Puffed Chicken Feet are air-dried and then puffed, which makes them light, airy and far easier to crunch. Puffed suits smaller mouths and older dogs. Plain suits a dog who wants something to get their teeth into.

How many can my dog have?

One foot is around 84 kcal, and at 27% fat they are one of the richer things in our range. Treats are meant to stay under about a tenth of what a dog eats in a day, so a few a week suits most dogs better than a few a day. Are chicken feet good for dogs?

They are 100% chicken foot and nothing else, which makes them a natural source of collagen, glucosamine and chondroitin, and they come in at 53.4% protein. They are a treat rather than a supplement though, so think of them as a crunch with a bit of substance behind it, not a course of tablets.

How do I prepare chicken feet for my dog?

You do not. Ours arrive air-dried and ready to hand straight over. Never cook or boil them, because cooking is what makes bone splinter. Drying is a completely different thing and leaves the bone crumbly rather than sharp.

How often can my dog have chicken feet?

A few times a week suits most dogs. At 27% fat they sit towards the richer end of our range, so count them as part of the day's food rather than on top of it.

How many should I give at a time?

One or two for a small dog, two or three for something bigger. Start with one and see how they get on, particularly if your dog has never had bone before.

What is the difference between plain and puffed?

Are the bones safe?

Bone is a problem when it has been cooked, not when it has been dried, and these are dried. The usual rules still apply: stay with them while they chew, and if your dog bolts things whole rather than chewing them, this is not the treat for them.

My dog cannot have chicken.

Then give these a miss and look at duck feet or turkey feet instead. Chicken is one of the most common sensitivities and there is no way around it here.
